Recently the costume designers for Skyfall put him in a midnight blue tuxedo, and the world nearly fell apart in shock. Traditionally only black, Craig pulled this blue look off with great success, and we think he has set a new fashion trend for grooms in midnight blue.
A wedding album really is an investment. Its not really for you in the ‘now’, its for you (and your family) in the future. It doesn’t have to be ultra fancy, ultra expensive or even made with your photographer (although as artists we do like to be involved in the process). But I think you will find we all agree that your photographs should be printed, and definitely reside within an album. In ten years’ time, you’ll be so glad you did. And in 70 years’ time, your children and your grandchildren will be glad you did too.
While not an absolute must have like a photographer in general, we love photo albums of wedding images, and whats better than flicking through your friends, grandparents or literally ANYONES wedding photo album? Theres nothing quite like seeing your photographs in a book in front of you, rather than on Instagram or in a frame. And plus, if your house was on fire, after you grab your loved ones and pets, the first material item on the list is always the photo album.
Just remember, however, while these dress codes provide guidance as to what each style of dress means, that definition looks to the past and is shaped according to what the dress codes used to mean.
Black tie is the second most formal dress code and is typically reserved for evening weddings. Despite what its title may suggest, black tie does not mean you must wear black, although traditionally men should wear a black tuxedo and a bow tie. Black tie appropriate attire for women can be an evening gown of any colour.

A photo album is more of a personal choice rather than a ‘must have’ these days. All the weddings I have photographed have wanted digital delivery so that they can print the photos at a later stage or make their own book/album if they ever want it. We live in a world now where 99% of our photos are on our phone and computers rather than in albums or frames. From a photographers view, it’s easier to not produce an album as the process can be very time consuming. It can also be frustrating for the couple, having to wait for the album to be finished.
Soaking in a pool or hot tub. Losing your ring here isn’t as big of an issue compared with the open sea (filters can be checked and the pool can be drained), but it’s the chemicals, like chlorine, that do the damage. After time, they can seriously discolor the metals.
The formal dress code is located somewhere between cocktail and black tie. For the ladies this dress code requires a short or long formal dress, a pantsuit, or dressy separates. For men, a dark suit, white shirt, and conservative tie is appropriate. Men can opt to wear a tuxedo if they wish, as the formal dress code is really another way to describe black tie optional.
Smart casual for women encompasses anything from a neatly tailored blazer and a button-down shirt, to a crisp sundress, as does a pair of smart trousers or a lovely skirt. A classic pair of dress pants or a little black dress, too, would suffice nicely. Just be sure to add a bit of flair!
